Monday, January 2nd, 2006OSR on New Year’s Eve
Sunday, January 1st, 2006December 30th, CP Putnam job brings two guests into Woodstock, OSR 182 (freshly painted exCP RS18u), and OSR 504 (a RS23).
182 is decked out in Christmas lights, and is glowing in the evening of December 30th.
Morning of December 31st, the two units are still sitting in the yard with some light snow on them.
London Pickup arrives and backs up beside the OSR pair.
OSR 504 lives up to her builder’s reputation and puts on quite a smoke-show.
Reversing towards the London Pickup engines.
Almost…
..There!
Crew moving their belongings from their previous engine to their new lead unit.
Now that the units are all connected, all that needs to be done is grab their train and head east.
London Pickup kicks up some snow at Mile 84 Galt sub.
Neat to see shortline engines leading Class 1 freight trains. It was also a good and punctual end to a good year of railfanning!
Happy New Year Everyone!
