November so far…

Oooookay!

Lots of shots so here goes nothing!

Five units pull into Woodstock on a manifest. One GP9u is dropped at the station, and the train leaves with four units. The MoW on flat cars was interesting!

The Operation Lifesaver Poster… Deer? Nice six point buck. Shame that it is going to rot. Had we been successful finding it after it had been hit, we may have been able to salvage some of the front meat. But we couldn’t find it during the night, and by the morning, the deer had just sat too long dead to be used for human consumption.

CP AC4400CW takes Coakley for an intermodal lead by two Soo SD60’s, on a dark and rainy day.

Came across an interesting sight in London, ON. the other day. Three tank cars that had been damaged were sitting in three gondolas.

Two Soo SD60’s head west through Coakley. Luckily, the clouds broke long enough for me to get a few shots fired off.

Here’s the shots from today, November 12th. Lots of neat trains today, and I’m glad to say I caught most of them.

First, we have NS 327 at 10:15, cruising past the Woodstock Via station. Lead unit (GP38-2) was freshly painted in October 2005. Trailing unit, a GP38AC, could certainly use a paint touch-up!

And, the second surprise of the day. Freshly painted Via unit done up to promote the Superbowl in Detroit. This was her first day of revenue service, and her second run. Passing through Carew at around 16:10.

And the final train of the day, a very late NS 328. Usually through Woodstock at 07:00, the 16:15 arrival was unexpected! A SD70M leads a SD40-2 over Carew Diamond.
